FAQ
The questions we get asked
-
What is Ludigital?
Ludigital is an application that lets you easily create and run online prize games on any digital device with an Internet connection (tablet, mobile…) -
How does our application work?
In the shop or at the event, the player scans a QR code with their mobile phone to reach the game through a fully customisable welcome page, followed by a form where they enter their details before taking part. -
What kinds of prize games can I run with the Ludigital application?
To give our clients variety, we offer fourteen game mechanics to choose from: instant win, prize draw, score or questionnaire. (scratch card, slot machine, wheel of fortune, pirates game, quiz, blind test, survey, memory…) -
Can I run a game that requires a purchase?
Yes. Since 2011, French law allows a prize game that requires a purchase, in a shop for example. (game conditional on a purchase in a shop) The Ludigital application has a “photo” feature for mobile games, so the player can photograph their receipt as proof of eligibility. Important note: This must not be confused with a paid entry, which remains strictly forbidden except under a prefectoral authorisation where all proceeds go to a charitable, benevolent or cultural association. In that specific case, the prizes must be of low value. -
Can your application show one or more adverts for my shop?
Yes, we have a “footer” page shown with every entry. On request, we can insert the file of your choice for the whole duration of your prize game. -
Can I collect the entrants’ details?
To build a customer file, for example? Yes, in strict compliance with the European GDPR. When filling in the game form, the player can always accept or refuse the commercial use of their details. The game’s privacy policy must state what the organiser will do with this CSV data file and how long it will be kept, which must not exceed one year under data protection law. (more information on the CNIL website) -
How is your prize game set up?
We customise the wording, the welcome page and the prizes… You can also set the number of entries per hour, per day or for the whole duration of the prize game. Always following your brief, in the style of your event. -
I would like to add prizes or make a few changes — is that possible?
Yes, we can make up to 5 changes during the whole duration of your prize game. (add prizes, replace them, change the number of entries, etc…) -
Is the Ludigital application secure?
Our application is hosted on a high-capacity VPS server. We also run real-time checks. On top of that, a safety mode makes it impossible for a minor to enter their date of birth. In case of fraudulent entries, such as signing up with several email addresses or giving a false date of birth, it can always be checked very quickly. -
Do you provide the game rules?
Yes, on request we can draw up the game rules at no extra cost, as part of our support service. -
Do you offer a “white label” option?
Yes. White label is part of the advanced features, available from the Retail tier. Your game is fully customised, with no logo of our brand in its presentation. -
Do you offer a subscription or instant online payment, as seen on other sites?
We do not offer subscriptions: each prize game is paid for individually or as a pack of five, depending on the tier you choose. The Discovery tier lets you try it for free, with no card needed. -
What are the rules for prize games?
A prize or promotional game is a commercial practice allowed under French law. It must be fair to players, with a random game system. It is therefore strongly recommended to lodge your game rules with a bailiff when the prizes are significant. There is however no obligation to do so, especially for low-value prizes. -
How does a prize game with our application differ from one on social media?
There are many differences: – “instant win” game with an immediate reward. – a genuine random draw for every entrant… – collection of a player database (data) – secure mode with a record of wins – fully configurable game times and duration – custom QR code for direct access to the game – form with date-of-birth safeguard – number of entries per player In conclusion: Games run on social media offer no reliability of any kind. Take a video showing a draw from a basket as an example. Be aware that the winner’s name could perfectly well be written on every slip.
